Parents are encouraged to take an active role in their child’s education as well as in program policymaking and program operation. Parents have the opportunity to serve on the policy council, which consists of nineteen members and includes two parents from each center, a community representative from each county and a representative from each childcare partnership. Monthly parent meetings and other functions throughout the year, allow parents a voice in their child’s education.
