Development Center provides
emergency rent and utility assistance
to low-income families and individuals
through collaboration with The Emergency
Food and Shelter Program. Eligible
applicants can receive up to $300.00
in back rent/utility assistance. Please
contact your local HRDC office for
information on qualifications for
this program.
The Emergency Food and Shelter National
Board Program was created in 1983
to supplement the work of local social
service organizations within the United
States, both private and governmental,
to help people in need of emergency
assistance. This collaborative effort
between the private and public sectors
has disbursed over $2 billion in Federal
funds during its 20-year history.
